H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Announces Expansion to Address All Pending Applications

The UAE has approved over AED1 billion ($272.2 million) in housing support, benefiting more than 1,300 Emirati citizens under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program. This initiative aims to provide swift assistance and family stability to UAE nationals.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, announced that the approvals granted in January will significantly enhance the housing system. Furthermore, he emphasized the government’s commitment to increasing the number of beneficiaries throughout the year to process all pending applications promptly.

Commitment to Family Stability and Faster Approvals

Over the past two years, the UAE government has made significant progress in accelerating housing approvals. According to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed, over 13,000 housing applications were processed and approved, drastically reducing the waiting time to just two months—one of the fastest timelines globally.

To further promote family stability, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the UAE is continuously working to enhance and streamline housing services. The ultimate goal is to create an integrated system where housing and funding approvals can be processed within a single day.

Strengthening the UAE’s National Housing System

The Sheikh Zayed Housing Program remains at the heart of the UAE’s national housing strategy, ensuring sustainability and efficiency in housing service delivery. To support this vision, the government is investing in mega housing projects that cater to the evolving needs of Emirati citizens.

In January, Sheikh Mohammed approved AED5.4 billion ($1.5 billion) worth of housing projects to benefit citizens across various areas of Dubai. These projects have already facilitated the construction of 3,004 new homes for Emirati families.
